The Mission

Hello, my name is Zac Blomeley, a 22 year old with a mission of becoming a professional sailor; the one thing I realised a few years ago is that if I want to make that possible I have to be more than just a great athlete.

I decided that I wanted to become a professional sailor a long time ago (explaining this to my parents who have never sailed wasn't the easiest thing, although I'm very grateful for their constant support). More recently I realised I have to be so much more than a sailor - so I decided to create Oceana Vivo.

Oceana Vivo is a platform upon which I can grow my personal brand and support causes that are close to my heart.

The name Oceana Vivo comes from the language of Esperanto and that means ocean life. Esperanto is a language to unite the world and that's what I want to achieve with Oceana Vivo.

The mission for Oceana Vivo is:

High performance racing - if I want to become a professional sailor, with goals of being the best sailor on the planet, I have to be sailing top class boats, with amazing sailors and against amazing sailors. I also want to bring like minded people together, people who have a genuine passion for learning and improving.

Ocean conservation - the environment has always had a special place in my heart. I want to give back and am in the process of trying to set up some projects with different companies in support of ocean conservation.

Inclusivity - having worked for the charity All Afloat I understand just how important offering sailing to people who wouldn't ordinarily have the opportunity to do so can be.

Gender Equality - learning about campaigns such as the Magenta Project, offering support to women in sailing, I want to help through having a balanced team, as well as coaching opportunities

I know these are big goals to be supporting, but with help, growing my team and spreading awareness I know only positivity can come from this process.

If you are interested in joining the mission and have any comments or suggestions please send me an email zacb@oceanavivo.com or my team info@oceanavivo.com
